Chandigarh, Dec 23 (IANS) A five-year-old boy was kidnapped from Burail village here two days ago and the abductors have demanded a Rs.10 lakh ransom for his safe release, police said Thursday.
According to the police, Kushpreet Singh had gone missing from outside his house here Tuesday around 12.30 p.m.
‘Khushi (Kushpreet) went to his father’s shop to take a packet of chips and I went to pick my elder son from the school. On returning, we did not find Khushi anywhere,’ said the child’s mother Kulwinder Kaur.
On Tuesday evening, the kidnappers called Kushpreet’s uncle and demanded a ransom of Rs.10 lakh.
