London, Jan 4 (DPA) Blackburn owner Anuradha Desai said Tuesday that the club had made a 6.2-million-pound (9.6-million-dollar) bid to sign Ronaldinho from AC Milan.
After the departure of manager Sam Allardyce, Blackburn’s new owners, Venky’s, are understood to be keen to make a mark in the transfer market, and Sky Sports News claim the owner of the English club confirmed the bid.
Ronaldinho has only six months left on his contract and is widely expected to leave Milan, who have signed Antonio Cassano, apparently as a replacement.
It had been thought the former World Player of the Year would return to Brazil with Gremio.
