London, May 23 (Inditop) Almost two weeks after her last concert in the Caribbean ended in controversy, troubled singer Amy Winehouse has again prompted questions about the state of her health by pulling out of a homecoming performance in London.
Winehouse, 25, was set to perform at the celebration of a 50th birthday of her record label Island May 31. But Island issued a statement Friday saying that she will not now be taking to the stage, reported people.com.
The reversal comes after her performance in St. Lucia ended prematurely.
“Amy Winehouse’s management has regretfully announced that Amy will no longer be performing at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Amy would like to apologise to her fans who bought tickets for the shows. Full ticket refunds will be made,” said a statement issued by the label.
The singer’s spokesperson cited health problems for the cancellation.
