London, Jan 26 (IANS) Michael Jackson’s former personal assistant and friend Frank Cascio has landed a book deal to lift the lid off the King of Pop’s life.

Cascio, who claims to have been a ‘lifelong’ confidant of the superstar, will release his memoir ‘My Friend Michael’ with publishers William Morrow this autumn, contactmusic.com reports.

The book will provide fans with an ‘uplifting and definitive’ account of Jackson and his ‘terribly scarred’ experience of fame.

Jackson died of a cardiac arrest in 2009.
