Vishakhapatnam, Feb 2 (IANS) Paras Dogra hit an unbeaten 147 as North Zone recovered from a precarious start to score 266/7 on the opening day of the Duleep Trophy final against South Zone here Wednesday.

North Zone were reeling at 42/4 courtesy an inspired show by the South Zone attack but Dogra steadied the ship with his splendid innings. Yashpal Singh (32) and Uday Kaul (38) chipped to provide good support to the centurion.

Dogra was batting with Joginder Sharma (4) at stumps.

South Zone fast bowlers Vinay Kumar and Sreenath Aravind took two wickets each while Pragyan Ojha and Abhimanyu Mithun got a wicket apiece.
