Kolkata, Feb 2 (IANS) Smriti Mehra shot a round of 70 to take a three-shot lead after the first round of the ninth leg of Hero Honda Women’s Professional Golf Tour here Wednesday.
Smriti had three birdies and three bogeys. Tanya Wadhwa and Neha Tripathi shared second place with 73 each at the Tollygunge Club.
Tanya is a rookie while Neha is a local player. Tour leader Sharmila Nicollet ended the day with a score of 76.
