Ranchi, Feb 2 (IANS) Former minister Kamlesh Singh, who was arrested a year back and is currently in a hospital, was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) Wednesday evening.
A Ranchi court Wednesday granted permission to the ED to interrogate Singh.
The Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court of G.K. Singh Wednesday granted the ED his custody for seven days. Singh is undergoing treatment at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Institute (RIMS).
Earlier on Dec 16, the court had granted the ED the permission to interrogate Singh, but the ED could not due to his illness.
Singh was arrested along with former chief minister Madhu Koda in November 2009. Koda is still in jail. Two more former ministers, Enos Ekka and Hariarayan Rai, are also in jail since August 2009. All of them face the disproportionate assets case.
