Madrid, Feb 14 (DPA) Struggling Spanish Liga club Osasuna decided early Monday to replace coach Jose Antonio Camacho with Jose Luis Mendilibar, media reports said.
The decision will be officially announced by the Pamplona club later in the day. A 0-1 defeat away to Real Sociedad on Sunday left Osasuna third from bottom in La Liga, and Camacho out of a job.
Camacho, 55, has been in charge at Osasuna since 2008. He was the manager of the Spanish national team from 1998 to 2002. He is the sixth Liga coach to be sacked this season.
Mendilibar, 49, has been out of contract since being sacked by Valladolid in February 2010.
