Mumbai, May 27 (Inditop) Indian equities markets were on the upswing Wednesday morning, with a key index rising over two percent within the first 15 minutes of trading.
The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, the Sensex, opened at 13,780.412 points, well above Tuesday’s close of 13,589.23. Within 15 minutes, it had risen to 13,883.24 points, 294.01 points or 2.16 percent above the last close.
At the same time, the S&P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange stood at 4,196.60 points, 1.94 percent above its last close at 4,116.70.
