New Delhi, March 31 (IANS) Five women from Uzbekistan in their early 20s were arrested in south Delhi for prostitution, police said Thursday.
On a tip off, police laid a trap near Udai Park by sending a decoy customer to a pimp, also from Uzbekistan, who said she charged Rs.30,000-Rs.50,000 for each woman.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashok Chand said all five were then arrested. The pimp had lived in India for the last two years on a multiple entry visa.
‘The women came to India on two-six months tourist visa,’ Chand said.
