Islamabad, April 21 (IANS) Militants killed a man by slashing his throat in front of hundreds of horrified onlookers, some of whom fainted on seeing it, a media report said Thursday.
Militants picked up Malang Meerak, a vendor, and took him to a public place. There they murdered him in front of hundreds of local residents, Dawn quoted sources as saying.
The militants claimed Mareek was helping security forces.
Sources said a number of locals fainted after watching the incident, which was the second of its kind in less than three weeks. A taxi driver had been killed in a similar manner in the same area.
