Suva, April 29 (IANS) Fiji issued a postage stamp Friday to mark the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Joape Kuinikoro, chief executive officer of Post Fiji, said that by releasing the special collector’s edition stamp, the organisation was re-establishing Fiji’s connection to the British Crown.
The stamp features the official photograph taken of the couple in November 2010.
Post Fiji has produced 8,000 miniature sheets, each valued at 10 Fiji dollars ($5.5), Xinhua reported. William married Kate at the Westminster Abbey Friday.
