New Delhi, June 1 (IANS) Delhi residents got some respite from the heat Wednesday as the weather turned relatively pleasant and breezy, with the maximum temperature dipping three notches below the average to 36.7 degrees Celsius.

The weatherman forecast more relief from the summer heat with possibility of rain in the next 24 hours.

‘There is a possibility of a squall or light rain at night. One or two spells of rain are also expected tomorrow (Thursday),’ said an official from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

‘The maximum and minimum temperatures Thursday are likely to be around 36 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively,’ the official added.

Humidity Wednesday settled at 66 percent.
