Islamabad, Aug 3 (IANS) At least three people were buried under the debris of a building that collapsed after being hit by an explosion late Tuesday night in Pakistan’s Gujranwala city, Xinhua reported.
Rescue officials said the blast could have been triggered by a gas pipeline leakage. The real cause of the explosion was yet to be found.
The blast took place at about 11.15 p.m. near a bank on Sailkot Road in Gujranwala, about 70 km north of Lahore.
Following the blast, the building partially collapsed and a fire broke out.
Fire fighters were called in to extinguish the blaze.
