Kabul, Oct 2 (IANS) At least three Taliban insurgents, including a group commander, were killed by Afghan police Saturday during a raid, Xinhua reported.
The killings occurred when police raided their hideouts in Dashti-Archi district of Kunduz province, 250 km north of Kabul Saturday, said an official.
‘Police raided Taliban hideouts during an operation, killing three Taliban rebels including their group commander Mullah Mansoor this morning,’ said Shikh Saadi, the governor of Dashti-Archi district.
The governor described Mansoor as a ‘notorious insurgent’ commander, saying he was involved in several subversive activities including killing civilians and security personnel.
