Kolkata, Oct 29 (IANS) After tasting defeat at the hands of England in the lone Twenty-20 international cricket match, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni slammed the pitch at Eden Gardens as ‘slow’ and ‘difficult’.

He added that if Team India could have managed 10-15 more runs the course of the game could have been different.

‘It was very slow and very difficult. They were bowling in the right area. They used the slower ball really well… But if we could have managed 10-15 more runs the game could have been different,’ said Dhoni at the post-match award ceremony.

Earlier during the India-England one day match at Eden Gardens Tuesday, Dhoni had expressed his disappointment over the wicket at Eden Gardens and felt the team was fortunate to score 270 plus runs on the ‘ugly looking’ wicket.

‘I think we were 15 runs short. I think this was a wicket were we should be looking to get 150-odd runs. We didn’t get off to a very good start. But in between we had some kind of partnership going… The individual needs to stay till the end for that more often and should get a par score. And if you look for a par score you get five-four runs more,’ said Dhoni.
