Kolkata, Oct 31 (IANS) Public sector lender UCO Bank Monday declared that it has posted a net profit of Rs.231 crore for the quarter ending Sep 30, against Rs.119 crore for the similar period during the previous fiscal, registering an increase of 94.12 percent.
Total income of the bank during the second quarter has increased by 25.83 percent to Rs.3,731 crore against Rs.2,965 crore for the corresponding period the previous fiscal.
Interest income of the bank increased to Rs.3,528 crore during the period against Rs.2,736 crore for the corresponding period the previous fiscal.
The bank’s NPA during the quarter has declined to Rs.244.18 crore from Rs.430 crore for the corresponding period the previous fiscal.
Standard assets provisioning of the bank has also declined to Rs.39 lakh during the second quarter of 2011-12 from Rs.12 crore in the similar quarter the previous fiscal.
Net interest margin (NIM) of the bank was 2.84 percent during the quarter against 3.23 percent in the similar quarter the previous fiscal.
Fresh slippage during the second quarter increased to Rs.513 crore from Rs.509 crore during the first quarter.
