New Delhi, Oct 31 (IANS) Two men who allegedly murdered a man during a robbery bid in east Delhi have been arrested, police said Monday.

Rizwan, 25, and Jitender Singh, 25, were arrested Oct 27 and 30, respectively, from east Delhi’s Seelampur area. Their two associates who assisted them in the murder are still at large, police said.

The victim, Rahul Pathak, was a salesman in a private company in east Delhi’s Patparganj area and was returning home on the day of the incident.

‘Pathak was stabbed twice in his chest when he resisted being robbed. His body was found from underneath a flyover in Seelampur,’ said a police official.

Rizwan had tried to sell the robbed mobile phone but failed to provide the cash memo.

Police were informed and a screening of his profile revealed that he was involved in three other crimes earlier.
