New Delhi, Oct 31 (IANS) The Delhi government Monday set up a committee on finalising the policy for regularising farm houses in the capital.
‘We looked at the farm house policy of DDA (Delhi Development Authority) and there were many confusing things in the policy. We have set up a committee in this regard which will look into it,’ said Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit after a cabinet meeting here.
The committee will include Finance Secretary D.M. Spolia and Revenue Secretary Dharmendra.
The capital has around 2,500 farm houses which come under the purview of rules and regulations of DDA and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
The DDA is in the process of framing a new policy for the farm houses under which norms will be finalised for allowing them to hold social gatherings as well as other commercial activities which is illegal so far.
