New Delhi, Dec 2 (IANS) A eunuch and her four friends were arrested for murdering and robbing her ‘godfathers’ in Himachal Pradesh two years ago, police said Friday.
Asha, a 26-year-old eunuch, Dalip, 27, Babloo, 25, Waqar Chaudhary, 46 and Iqbal Khan, 23 were arrested Thursday from north Delhi’s Rohini area for the murder and robbing of Deshraj Mahant and Ratni in Solan, Oct 29, 2009.
‘Asha was in a live-in with Babloo. She frequently visited her godfathers with her colleagues, and tempted by their wealth, one day decided to rob them,’ said a police official.
Asha hatched a conspiracy with all the four accused and they reached Solan Oct 28, 2009 to execute their plan.
‘The following day Asha visited her godfather’s house and realizing that the duo were alone at home she called her associates. Afraid that she would be identified, Chaudhary and Khan slit the throat of the victims and the gang fled from the spot,’ added the official.
They took away Rs. 2 lakh in cash and jewellery worth Rs. 4 lakh. After returning to Delhi, the loot was shared.
