New Delhi, July 9 (Inditop.com) India continued their domination in the South Asian Shooting Championships in Bangladesh to stay atop the medals tally.

India won six out of eight golds on the fourth day Wednesday to take their tally to 20 golds, 10 silvers and five bronzes medals.

Pakistan are placed second in the medals tally with two golds, five silvers and four bronzes.

In the women’s 10m air pistol event, India’s Harveen Srao bagged gold with a score of 479.5. Pakistan’s Mehush Mashud took the silver while India’s Heena Sidhu won the bronze.

India also won the women’s air pistol team event with a score of 1131 points. Bangladesh won the silver (1095 pts) while Sri Lanka took the bronze scoring 1092 points.

In the 25m standard pistol event, India’s veteran shooter Ashok Pandit claimed the gold with a score of 566 points, leaving behind compatriot Vijay Kumar, who took the silver (561 points). Pakistan’s Mustakim Shah shot 551 to bag the bronze.

The Indian men’s team came first in the standard pistol team event scoring 1677 points, 39 points clear of the second-placed Pakistan. Bangladesh came third with 1403 points.

In the men’s 50m rifle three position event, India’s Sanjeev Rajput won the gold (1165 pts) while his compatriot Imran Hassan Khan shot 1150 to bag the silver. Sri Lanka’s S. Samarakun finished third with 1142 points.

The Indian men’s team also bagged gold in the 50m rifle three position with a score of 3437 points while Bangladesh finished second (3358 pts). Pakistan bagged the bronze (3348 pts).

India’s Mairaj Khan won silver in the men’s skeet event after shooting a score of 112, falling two points behind Pakistan’s Raja Munir, who bagged the gold. Another Pakistani shooter Ahmed Usman won the bronze with a score of 110.

Pakistan bagged gold in the skeet team event while India and Bangladesh finished second and third respectively.
