Moscow, April 1 (IANS/RIA Novosti) A total of 675 fishermen stranded on a block of floating ice off Russia’s far eastern region were rescued Sunday.
The ice was located near Vzmoriye off Sakhalin Island.
The fishermen were saved using helicopters of the emergencies ministry, the ministry said. The rescue effort also involved 10 floating craft.
