Mandya (Karnataka), May 30 (IANS) The seeded players, led by No.1 Vijayant Malik, safely made it to the quarter-finals of the singles draw where they were joined by Vignesh Veerabhadran in the Prem Sugars ITF Mandya Open tennis tournament, here Wednesday.

While Malik eased past Sidharth Rawat 6-3, 6-4 in 81 minutes, Veerabhadran’s opponent and wild card Rajat Maheshwari retired with a hamstring injury with the former leading 6-7 (3), 6-3, 4-1 after two hours and 18 minutes.
