New Delhi, May 30 (IANS) Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Wednesday recorded her statement in a Delhi court in a defamation case filed by her against Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vijender Gupta.
Dikshit recorded her statement before Metropolitan Magistrate Saumya Chauhan.
She filed the case against Gupta for allegedly using “uncivilised” language in hoardings put up before last month’s civic polls.
Dikshit requested the court to summon Gupta.
The hoardings accused her government of conniving with private power distribution companies and indulging in corruption in determining power tariff.
The chief minister told the court that she had sent legal notices to Gupta after the civic polls but the BJP leader did not apologise.
