New Delhi, July 15 (Inditop.com) The 43rd India International Garment Fair that began here Wednesday will fetch manufacturers almost the same amount of business as the previous one.
“The forecast isn’t that bad, but I am not very optimistic either. There will be almost flat growth in business,” Maran told reporters after inaugurating the fair.
The bi-annual fair, held in January and July, attracts a host of international buyers and has about 350 exhibitors from across the country this year.
“There are about 20 buyers who have come from Japan and there are many more from Argentina and other countries,” Maran said.
“The councils (textile export councils) are happy with the turnaround despite the recessionary trends,” he added.
Over 3,000 visitors from 70 countries are expected to attend the garment fair.
