Ahmedabad, July 15 (Inditop.com) Ships and fishing vessels were Wednesday warned by the met office to stay off the south Gujarat coast during the next 24 hours as wind speeds in the Arabian Sea might touch a dangerous 65 km per hour.
The wind velocity would be in the range of 35 to 45 km per hour on the south Gujarat coast and the winds may start blowing in gusts at 65 km per hour making the sea waters moving in the south westerly direction dangerously rough to sail in during the next 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department said in its daily bulletin.
Fishermen on the entire south Gujarat coast have been asked to defer any sailing activity during the next 24 hours.
IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in northern and southern Gujarat and the Kutch region.
