Moscow, July 3 (IANS/RIA Novosti) It is “impossible” that WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck will step into the ring this month for a rematch with WBA heavyweight regular champion Alexander Povetkin, the Russian fighter’s manager told R-Sport Tuesday.

Povetkin’s management are rushing to find an opponent for a July 21 fight in Moscow after Hasim Rahman pulled out of a planned July 14 bout with a hand injury.
German fighter Huck challenged Povetkin for his WBA belt in Stuttgart in February but suffered his second career defeat to the unbeaten Russian on a majority decision.
“Currently that fight is impossible because Huck isn’t in the top 15 in the WBA rankings,” Povetkin’s manager Vlad Hrunov said.
“But we’re prepared to meet him at any other time and in any city.”
Hrunov said “serious work on the organization” was taking place for the fight.
Povetkin, the 2004 Olympic super heavyweight champion, has won all 24 of his professional fights, 16 of them by knockout.
