New Delhi, July 18 (Inditop.com) On July 22, DJs Aaron James from New York and MoCity Abood from Baghdad will come together to spread the message of love, peace and happiness from two countries that have gone to war against each other twice in the recent past. They will hold the “Drop Beats Not Bombs – From New York to Baghdad” concert in the capital.

The evening will celebrate music from different cultures as the two DJs will play music inspired by their respective cultures.

“This concert will celebrate music and friendship that defies geography; a call heard around the world for peace in a war-torn land,” said Abood in a statement here Saturday.

According to the DJs this concert is their way to represent hope and unity in a toxic and destructive era between the two countries.

“Our sound, our message, our collective voices will be louder than all the bombs, all the guns, all the rockets that have torn Iraq and the world apart these past years,” James added.

While James has honed his skills from hip hop to retro to electro to funk to punk, Abood loves to play hip hop.

“Hip hop, for me, has always been a way to feel connected to the world. I guess it’s ironic that it’s been through hip hop that I have been able to connect to people from all over the world to each other,” Abood explained.

The concert will take place at 9 p.m. in the Love Hotel at Ai in MGF mall Saket in south Delhi.
