London, July 19 (Inditop.com) Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger said he has enough replacement for Togo international Emanuel Adebayor, who signed for Manchester City for a 25 million pound transfer fee.

Wenger is now pinning hopes on his younger squad and feels he has quite a few attacking options.

“We have internal players lined up for Adebayor. If you look at the offensive players we have, we have Van Persie, Arshavin, Rosicky, Walcott, Bendtner and Eduardo,” Wenger was quoted as saying by The Daily Telegraph.

“We lost a great player but we have players coming through that play in the same position. The message is to trust the players we have.

“I will be able to spend it (the Adebayor fee) if we find the right players and we feel it is needed, but we are not in a hurry now,” he added.

Wenger said there was resentment from the fans and hoped that Adebayor would do well at Manchester City.

“There was a little resentment (from the fans). I believe he wanted to do well and he didn’t find the confidence he had the season before but, believe me, he is a great player and he will show that again at Manchester City. I don’t think last season he got enough support that was playing a part in my mind and his mind,” Wenger said.

The Frenchman added that Bordeaux’s Morouane Chamakh remained an option for Arsenal.

“If we need to go for a striker he could be one of the possibilities,” Wenger said.
