Helsinki, July 20 (Xinhua) Finland’s national carrier Finnair said Monday that passengers with swine flu would not be allowed to board its aircraft.

The airline imposed the measure after the Finnish National Institute for Health and Welfare described swine flu “as a common dangerous infectious disease”.

Finnair said its staff will be on alert at the airports to detect passengers with swine flu.

British Airways and Virgin Atlantic have introduced similar measures in the recent past.
