Mumbai, Dec 30 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee Sunday paid rich tributes to freedom fighter, educationist and founder of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan K.M. Munshi after inaugurating the platinum jubilee celebrations of the institute here.
“Munshiji demonstrated excellence in diverse fields of human endeavour. He was a writer, speaker, novelist, lawyer, teacher, constitutional expert, administrator, statesman, patriot and a promoter and sustainer of cultural, ethical and moral values,” Mukherjee said about Munshi, who was the founder of the institute.
“He was a man of small build, but there was nothing small in what he achieved during his life time,” he added.
Mukherjee described Munshi as one of the three “dreamers” of modern India, the other two being Mahatma Gandhi, who dreamt of a world without violence, and Jawaharlal Nehru, who dreamt of a strong, united and democratic India.
