Gurgaon, Dec 31 (IANS) A man here has been arrested and sent to jail for 14 days for allegedly molesting a married woman, police said Monday.
A 22-year-old woman told police that she was physically assaulted when she reacted sharply to the man’s lewd comments in Sector 60 near Ullawas village here.
The victim lived with her husband in a slum area. The arrested man, Ajit Kumar, was her husband’s colleague at a work site, police officer Abdullah Khan told IANS.
Kumar, 22, was arrested Sunday night. The chief judicial magistrate here sent him Monday to judicial custody for 14 days.
The victim is from West Bengal while the accused hails from Jharkhand.
