London, July 27 (Inditop.com) Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has launched a scathing attack on Manchester City, saying it is a small club with a small mentality.

“They are a small club, with a small mentality. All they can talk about is Manchester United. That’s all they’ve ever done and they can’t get away from it,” Ferguson was quoted as saying by The Mirror.

City are on a 100 million pounds spending spree this summer to break into the top-four, and also poached United’s Argentine forward Carlos Tevez for 25 million pounds.

Ferguson said that City can never break into the top-four in English football despite their summer spending spree.

“What they are doing now is just stupid. That arrogance will be rewarded in the right way. It is a go at us. That’s the only thing it is. They think taking Tevez away from Manchester United is a triumph.

“It is poor stuff, although I thought he would go to City a long time ago,” he said.

Ferguson believes that players like Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor have moved to Eastlands only for the money.
