Madrid, July 28 (DPA) Spanish giants Valencia announced the departure of Brazilian international goalkeeper Renan Brito on loan to newly promoted Xerex in the Primera Liga.
The 24-year-old Renan was signed by Valencia from Brazilian giants Internacional a year ago and started last season well, but then lost his place through injury.
Meanwhile, former Valencia striker Fernando Morientes has signed for French giants Olympique Marseille.
Morientes, 33, was released by Valencia in June after three years at the club. He played for Spain at the 1998 and 2002 World Cup finals, but has suffered badly from injury in the past four years.
