Yangon, Feb 9 (IANS) Myanmar and South Korea will cooperate in occupational safety and health in Myanmar, media reported Sunday.

The bilateral cooperation will be done through workshops, research programmes and technical exchange under a memorandum of understanding signed between Myanmar’s ministry of labour, employment and social security, and Korea occupational, safety and health agency, Xinhua reported citing Myanmar’s state media.
The Korean agency has been providing assistance to Myanmar since 2013 for submitting the proposal on promotion system of occupational health, giving legal advice for occupational health and safety law, courses for inspection officers of Myanmar conducted by experts of the Korea occupational, safety and health agency and supporting devices for occupational measurement tasks.
