Chennai, March 12 (IANS) Composer K, who rose to prominence with films like “Aarohanam” and “Yuddham Sei”, has headed to Australia to record the music for upcoming Tamil film “Kallappadam”.
“Since the makers of the film feel music as well as recording has no land barriers, they have decided to record the music of the film in Australia. K has left for there and is extremely delighted with the opportunity,” a statement said.
One of the highlights of the film will be K’s anthem for women.
“The special feature of K’s music in this film would be the special anthem for the women, sung by Maghizhini of ‘Kumki’. This anthem was recorded March 8, which is celebrated all over as International Women’s Day,” added the statement.
K also plays one of the leads in the film. Another highlight of “Kallappadam” is that three other technicians are playing lead roles.
Besides K, the film’s director J. Vadivel, cinematographer as well as the editor play the lead roles in the film. Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli plays the female lead.
