Bangalore, April 17 (IANS) Long queues were seen at polling stations in Karnataka as voters turned up to cast their ballot for the state’s 28 Lok Sabha seats, officials said.
A 46,211,844-strong electorate, including 22,612,084 women, are eligible to exercise their franchise. Karnataka will see single phase polling.
As many as 434 candidates are in the fray. Balloting is being held at 54,261 polling booths.
A total 274,891 polling officials have been deployed in the state.
