New Delhi, Sep 5 (IANS) The prize money of the Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship has been doubled from Rs.9 lakh to Rs.18 lakh for its 20th edition to be held at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Complex (DLTA) Complex here Oct 6-18, it was announced Friday.
The winners of the men’s and women’s categories will get wildcard entries for the 2015 Delhi Open while the runners-up will get qualifying wildcards.
In addition, the winners of the Under-18 boys and girls will receive qualifying wildcards while the winners of U-16 boys and girls will bag main draw wildcard entries for Asian Juniors in April 2015.
The decision was announced by All India Tennis Association (AITA) president Anil Khanna and title sponsors DCM Shriram Ltd’s chairman Ajay Shriram.
