Mumbai, Jan 23 (IANS) Double Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman has urged people to stop violence against religion.
The 48-year-old took to his official Twitter page to promote the annual World Interfaith Harmony Week (WIHW) to be held in the first week of February.
“SAY NO TO VIOLENCE IN THE NAME OF RELIGION! Stand up for World Interfaith Harmony during 1st week of Feb #WIHW2015 <http://thndr.it/1FH6J9e>,” Rahman tweeted.
World Interfaith Harmony Week, started by UN in 2011, is a way to promote harmony between all people regardless of their faith.
Apart from winning the two Academy Awards, Rahman has also won two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, four National Film Awards, 15 Filmfare Awards and 13 Filmfare Awards South.
