Mumbai, Sep 9 (Inditop.com) The petroleum and natural gas regulator, Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH), has upwardly revised estimates of Essar Oil’s Raniganj gas find to 60.77 billion cubic metres from an earlier projection of 42 billion cubic metres.
The Essar gas reserve in West Bengal, located in the country’s oldest mining zone, is close to two major steel plants of Steel Authority of India (SAIL) along with three existing and one upcoming power plants, the company said in a regulatory statement.
