Islamabad, April 11 (IANS) At least five terrorists were killed by security forces in Pakistan after they attacked a check-post, media reported.
Terrorists attacked a security forces’ check-post in the Datta Khel Tehsil of North Waziristan Agency, a mountainous region in northern Pakistan, and five of them were killed when security forces retaliated, Geo News reported.
Following the incident, security forces launched a massive search operation in the area.
Earlier on Saturday, some 20 people were killed and three others injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire at a labour camp in Balochistan province.
Imran Qureshi, District Police Officer (DPO) of Turbat, confirmed the incident and said the militants opened fire indiscriminately at the labourers while they were sleeping.
He also said the labourers belonged to Sindh and were employed for the construction of a bridge in the area.
