Srinagar, April 13 (IANS) It was a sunny Monday morning in Srinagar with the minimum temperature hovering around 8.7 degrees Celsius. The Met Office said fair weather will continue in Jammu and Kashmir for the next two to three days.

“Weather will remain dry in the state and there will be no large change in the next two to three days,” an official here told IANS. He said the maximum temperature is likely to be around 21 degrees Celsius.
“The minimum temperature today (Monday) at Pahalgam and Gulmarg was 1.8 degrees and 3.4 degrees Celsius respectively”, the Met Office said.
Kargil and Leh towns of the Ladakh region remained cold with mercury hovering around the freezing point. The minimum overnight temperature in Jammu city was 18.2 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the Jammu-Srinagar highway remained open Monday for one-way traffic. “Traffic will ply from Jammu to Srinagar and no vehicle will be allowed from the opposite side,” an official told IANS.
He said 1,242 light and 1,878 trucks reached Jammu city from the Kashmir Valley on Sunday evening.
