Dhaka, April 17 (IANS) As many as 136 Bangladeshis have been further evacuated from Yemen, bringing the total number of evacuees to 496, media reported on Friday.

The foreign ministry, in a statement, said an Indian Navy ship took them to Djibouti on Thursday, bdnews24 reported.
Bangladesh is operating a repatriation control room in Djibouti led by its ambassador in Kuwait.
The ministry said the government was arranging for food, shelter and other logistics for the rescued Bangladeshis during their stay in Djibouti and they will be flown back to Dhaka on April 20 in a Biman Bangladesh Airlines special flight.
The Bangladeshis rescued earlier are on their way to Kerala by Indian ships from where they will be brought back to Dhaka by a special Biman flight.
Yemen became volatile with the rise of the Shia Houthis rebels who took over the capital city of Sanaa in September last year and ousted its President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
