New Delhi, April 20 (IANS) A court here on Monday issued non-bailable warrant (NBW) against former Delhi legislator Rambir Shokeen for evading the probe into an arms case against his nephew and alleged gangster Neeraj Bawana.

Additional Sessions Judge Neena Bansal Krishna issued the NBW against Shokeen after Delhi Police told the court that it issued notice to him for joining the probe but he is on the run.
Police added that even Shokeen’s relatives did not know his whereabouts.
According to police, one AK-47 and a self-loading rifle were recovered from a plot in west Delhi’s Bawana area after Delhi Police Special Cell got information about it during Neeraj Bawana’s interrogation.
Bawana was arrested on April 7 from west Delhi’s Mundka area.
Police presented before the court alleged gangster Amit Malik alias Bhura, who was arrested from Patiala in Punjab, in connection with the case. He was remanded in police custody.
According to a police officer, the arms were looted from Uttarakhand Police.
Shokeen had won 2013 Delhi Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Mundka constituency.
