Kathmandu, April 25 (IANS) At least 876 people were killed in the massive earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday, officials said.
A national police spokesman told BBC that 876 people died in the quake. Many people were still trapped under rubble.
The quake measured 7.9 on the Richter scale. Its epicentre was in Nepal’s Lamjung district, some 75 km from capital Kathmandu.
