New Delhi, April 28 (IANS) Bharti Airtel has posted 30.5 percent growth in its net profit at Rs.1,255 crore for the quarter ended March 2015 against Rs.962 crore posted in the corresponding quarter last year, a company statement said here on Tuesday.
Its revenue grew by 3.6 percent at Rs.23,016 crore for the January-March quarter of 2014-15 compared to Rs.22,219 crore for the same quarter previous year.
“The year has ended on a healthy note, with revenue growth accelerating to 12.1 percent in 2014-15, from 9.9 percent and 9.5 percent respectively in the previous two years.
“The cumulative investment of Rs.68,000 crore in spectrum is a reflection of our commitment to the cause of a Digital India, and our belief in the potential of the exciting opportunity,” said the company’s managing director and CEO, India & South Asia Gopal Vittal.
Mobile data revenue registered a growth of 70.4 percent year-on-year in India at Rs.2,324 crore.
Data average revenue per user (ARPU) has moved up by Rs.43 to Rs.176 in the fourth quarter and mobile data revenue contributed 17.6 percent of mobile India revenue.
The revenue from India registered a growth of 11.8 percent year-on-year across segments, while Africa revenue grew by 3.4 percent year-on-year in constant currency terms.
