Los Angeles, May 2 (IANS) Troubled actress Amanda Bynes is reportedly eager to stage a high profile comeback next year via celebrity reality show “Dancing With The Stars”.
“She is in negotiations with ABC to do ‘Dancing With the Stars’ next year. They think Amanda has a wonderful underdog story and ‘DWTS’ is the perfect forum for her to prove she can entertain while being vulnerable at the same time,” a source said.
The 28-year-old actress, who has sought treatment at a psychiatric facility, is eager to prove that she is getting her life back on track, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“People think she’s still a mess, but that’s no longer the case. ‘DWTS’ is the perfect opportunity for her to prove to her friends, family and fans that she’s back in control of her life,” the source told OK! magazine.
The “Easy A” star, who shot to fame on Nickelodeon as a child, is also said to be interested in the show because she has been offered a lot of money.
“It’s not unheard of for big names to make almost $300,000 for competing. It’s hard to turn down a pay cheque like that for what is essentially a brilliant PR stunt,” the insider said.
