Srinagar, May 2 (IANS) The Met office here on Saturday forecast pleasant weather in the Kashmir Valley in the coming days.
“Hopefully, the worst is over, we are expecting weather to remain pleasantly fair during the next 10 days. There is no major disturbance around and thus will help give stability to the system in the coming days,” an official of the Met department said.
Kashmir has witnessed wet weather for the last three months which followed last September’s unprecedented floods.
This has caused serious concern among the locals, including farmers, fruit growers and those depending on tourism for their livelihood.
According to Met office, the minimum temperature in Srinagar was 8.8 degrees Celsius, 2.9 degrees in Pahalgam, 1.2 in Gulmarg, 16.5 in Jammu, 5.7 in Leh, 2.2 in Kargil, 17.8 in Katra, 8.2 in Bannihal, 11.7 in Batote and 7.2 degrees in Bhaderwah on Saturday.
