Copenhagen, May 9 (IANS) Four buses were torched in Denmark’s capital Copenhagen in a suspected case of vandalism, the authorities said.

No one was injured in the fire, which occurred in the bus company Arriva’s parking garage in Copenhagen’s Oesterbro district on Friday, according to police sources.
The police are still investigating whether the buses were set ablaze on purpose, Xinhua news agency reported on Saturday.
“Parked buses don’t catch fire on their own too often. Therefore we have reason to assume that the fires were set,” police spokesman Kristian Aaskov was quoted by local newspaper Politiken as saying.
Danish media suspected that the incident was connected to a controversial advertisements calling for a boycott of goods from Israeli settlements.
However, the advertisements were removed from 35 buses in the capital region last week.
