New Delhi, May 12 (IANS) It was a hot Tuesday in the national capital as the maximum temperature settled a notch below the season’s average at 38.7 degrees Celsius. Light rain is expected on Wednesday, the Met Office said.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the sky will remain partly cloudy on Wednesday and some parts of the city might receive light showers.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 39 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Tuesday’s minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season’s average.
The day’s maximum humidity was recorded at 70 percent.
Monday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 39.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 28.2 degrees Celsius.
